KLM Financial Assistance Policy

Purpose

To ensure all members have access to club programs, regardless of financial circumstances, the club is committed to supporting families by covering a portion of program costs not covered by third-party organizations offering sports grants.

Policy Details:

1. Eligibility:

• Families must apply for financial assistance through third-party organizations that provide sports grants (e.g., KidSport, Jumpstart, Athletics 4 Kids).
• Proof of application and its outcome (approval, partial funding, or denial) must be submitted to the club.

2. Coverage:

• Through the KLM CARES Community Soccer Grants Program, the club will cover up to 80% of program costs not funded by third-party grants.
• Families will be responsible for the remaining 20% of the program fee.

3. Application Process:

• Families must complete the KLM Financial Assistance Request Form, apply for third-party funding, and provide the club with the results of their funding application.
• Requests must be submitted at least 30 days before the program registration deadline.

4. Approval and Payment:

• Requests for additional assistance beyond third-party funding will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the club’s financial assistance committee.
• Approved assistance will be applied directly to the program fee.

5. Limitations:

• KLM financial assistance is subject to the club’s annual budget and the availability of funds.
• The club reserves the right to limit the total assistance provided per family per season.
