Holidays | Winter Holidays: Dec 9-Jan 5, 2020 The league may/may not schedule games at Thanksgiving (Oct 12-14), Family Day (Feb 15-17), or other weeks. Team coaches will notify parents ahead of time. Practice cancellations are determined by team coaches. |
Practices |
U11-U12 players have two practices per week (be mindful of shoe-wear for the different fields). It is parental responsibility to have players arriving 10 minutes before each practice, dressed appropriately. Monday practice location Thursday practice location |
Game Times |
The league schedules games between 8am-3pm on Saturdays for boys and Sunday for girls teams. Games are made up of two 30-minute halves. ‘Away games’ are played against other clubs across Greater Vancouver. Speak with your team parents regarding car-rides and car-pooling as KLM wants to ensure all players have access to transportation to/from practices and games. Note, KLM has no control over league schedules; we are obligated to follow them. |

Equipment | Players must have their own shin-guards and cleats. KLM provides team jerseys, black shorts and socks which players should wear only on game days. Think weather-appropriate clothes. (See Common Questions below) |
Weather | We play rain or shine. KLM notifies parents by 7pm Fridays of field closures as is determined by the Vancouver Park Board or Vancouver School Board. See Common Questions below for ‘Alternative Fields and Field Status’. |

Cost | $375 for 6 months of soccer led by staff coaches including two practices per week, league games, and winter gyms for Jan-Feb.

Safety is first. Please make coaches aware of any potential injuries or illnesses.
Appropriate Clothing?
For practices, players can wear shorts or pants. For games, players need to wear their team jerseys, shorts, and shorts. Note, players can wear thermal-wear under their shorts & jerseys for games. For cold and wet weather, please consider soccer-appropriate hats, gloves, rain-gear or thermal-wear to keep warm. This is a parent/player responsibility.

Need more soccer? Note that in place of what was previously known as KLM Academy, all U11-U12 players are offered two week-day practices plus league games with full-time staff coaching as part of the cost of registration.
KLM Goalkeepers
Goalkeeping require a different set of skills and training. All interested KLM players will have the opportunity to learn goalkeeping, as well as receive training.
Parent Volunteers
KLM is a non-profit youth sports organization supported by the dedication of staff and volunteers alike. Please contact info@klmsoccer.com if interested in volunteering for KLM club or for your child’s age-group. Remember that team coaches rely on parents each week for communicating player availability, punctuality of players, goal net set-up, etc. Be part of making KLM better!

Refunds?
Refunds are possible prior to deadline, less a $50 administration fee. The refund deadline for the upcoming season is April 15th. See www.klmsoccer.com/registration for further details. Requests and questions are to be emailed to the Registrar at registrar@klmsoccer.com.
Uniform Deposits?
Uniform deposits will be coordinated prior to season start.

Parents have a big impact in youth sports. Modelling positive attitudes, sportsmanship, respectful behaviour and spectator roles is integral to success in youth soccer. Help our coaches make KLM soccer positive for all involved.
Bringing Issues Forward?
There are always surprises in youth soccer. Remember that fields, times, etc may be adjusted for many reasons, and sometimes at last minute. Please work with staff to model healthy and proactive communication.
