Games are typically not scheduled during Thanksgiving (mid-October) or Family Day weekend (mid-Feb). The club notifies team officials, who in turn notify players & parents of all schedule changes ahead of time.
|Practices||Teams practice twice per week under qualified staff coaches.

1) Monday Sessions – Trillium East (turf)
2) Thursday Sessions – Memorial South (turf)
3) House League Games – Kensington Park North (grass)
Players are to arrive 10 minutes before each practice, dressed appropriately. Thank you for communicate your attendance to the coaches. It helps ensure safety, efficiency and harmony.
|Indoor Gyms||KLM U9/U10 teams have one indoor/futsal style soccer practice during the winter months. The cost is included in the registration. Indoor practices are held at either 6-7pm or 7-8pm at local school gymnasiums; parents will be notified by their team officials. It is great chance to avoid snowy days and try indoor style of soccer!|

|Equipment||Players require shin-guards and cleats; be mindful of shoe-wear for the different fields. KLM provides team jerseys, black shorts and socks which players should wear only on game days. Think weather-appropriate clothes. (See Common Questions below)|
|Weather||We play rain or shine. KLM notifies parents by 7pm Fridays of field closures as is determined by the Vancouver Park Board and/or Vancouver School Board. See Common Questions below regarding ‘Field Status’.|

Registration fees, timeline, refund policies, etc:
There are no hidden fees at KLM such as “volunteer fee”, “assessment fee”, and “academy sessions” which can double seasonal registration costs. All KLM players receive the same comprehensive package to the benefit of the players and their teams.

Common Questions: Safety Related
Safety is first. Please make coaches aware of any potential injuries or illnesses.
For practices, players can wear shorts or pants. For games, players need to wear their team jerseys, shorts, and shorts. Note, players can wear thermal-wear under their shorts & jerseys for games. For cold and wet weather, please consider soccer-appropriate hats, gloves, rain-gear or thermal-wear to keep warm. This is a parent/player responsibility.

Field Status & Alternative Field(s)?
Games are sometimes scheduled on alternate (gravel) fields due to weather concerns. Team officials inform parents as soon as they are aware of scheduling changes.

Goalkeeping require a different skill set and training. All interested KLM players will have the opportunity to learn goalkeeping, as well as receive training.

Parents have a big impact in youth sports. Modelling positive attitudes, sportsmanship, respectful behaviour and spectator roles is integral to success in youth soccer. Help our coaches make KLM soccer positive for all involved.

There are always surprises in youth soccer. Remember that fields, times, etc may be adjusted for many reasons, and sometimes at last minute. Please work with staff to model healthy and proactive communication.
